ANNOUNCEMENT: Our offices will be closed for staff vacation from September 6 through September 27, 2000. However, we have made arrangements to respond to mail orders for Template Disks and copies of Thesis News and Dissertation News during this period. Doc Talk postings will resume before the end of the month.
ASGS is a service organization of graduate students, graduate-student organizations (GSOs), and graduate-degree-granting institutions. ASGS services and products assist students to complete their theses and obtain their degrees, produce the highest quality of theses, and improve their lives during the thesis process.

...a news and reference bulletin for graduate students writing their
theses (i.e., master's level theses or doctoral dissertations). This section includes a complete listing of existing issues and their contents. Note: Beginning late in the year 2000, it is our intention to publish Thesis News in a new, electronic format which can be downloaded at will by ASGS members directly from this web page.

...a free, moderated e-mail discussion list about doing a thesis
for graduate students and faculty worldwide.
PROFESSIONAL CONSULTANT DIRECTORY...
...a listing of format editors, statistical consultants, typists, etc.
COMPUTER TEMPLATE DISKS FOR EDITORIAL STYLES...

NATIONAL RESEARCH COUNCIL
administers Predoctoral, Thesis, and Postdoctoral fellowships (for minority students) for the Ford Foundation, plus predoctoral fellowships open to all U.S. citizens, one in integrated manufacturing for engineers, sponsored by the Dept of Energy, and one in biological sciences, sponsored by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
